Educational Programs
Eleven boarders spent Sunday afternoon at Lindsay Kerslake’s Horsepower business to compete for the inaugral Horsepower Trophy. The boys were instructed in gearing up the horses to race, warm up for racing and then sat alongside an experienced driver in a duel sulky at full race pace.
Points towards the trophy, in memory of boarding house tutor, Scott MacDonald, were accumulated over three races. At the end of the first two races all Houses were on the same points. An exciting third race saw Jacobs cross the line first to win. The members of the winning Jacobs House team were Tom Anderson, Jesse Sullivan and James Russell.
